How We Work

Our Capabilities

From polymer selection to precision extrusion and rigorous quality testing — every LOPIN pipe is engineered to perform.

The Process

From Raw Material to Finished Pipe

01

Raw Material Selection

We source only certified-grade polymers — HDPE, uPVC, PE80, PE100 — from approved suppliers. Every batch is tested for composition, melt flow index, and density before entering production.

02

Precision Extrusion

Our modern extrusion lines produce pipes with tight dimensional tolerances. Temperature-controlled dies and calibration systems ensure consistent wall thickness and ovality across every run.

03

In-Line Quality Control

Automated laser measurement and wall thickness monitoring occurs throughout production. Operators track tolerances in real time, catching deviations before they become defects.

Physical & Hydraulic Testing

Finished pipes undergo ring stiffness testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, impact testing, and tensile testing — all conducted in our accredited on-site laboratory.

05

Marking & Traceability

Every pipe is continuously marked with product code, pressure rating, standard compliance, date of manufacture, and batch number — enabling full traceability from production to installation.

Packaging & Delivery

Pipes are bundled, strapped, and protected for transport. Our logistics team coordinates delivery across Nigeria and wider African markets, with lead times agreed at order stage.

HDPE Pipe Properties (PE100)

High-Density Polyethylene — Water & Gas

  • Flexible — suitable for coiled lengths and curved trench laying
  • Weldable — cost-effective butt fusion and electrofusion jointing
  • Non-toxic and water-neutral — safe for drinking water networks
  • No corrosion, no encrustation, low coefficient of friction
  • Seismic resistant — tolerates ground movement and settlement
  • Chemically resistant to a wide range of substances
  • Black with blue stripes (water) or yellow stripes (gas)
  • Conforms to ISO 4427, ISO 4437, EN 12201, EN 1555

uPVC Pipe Properties

Unplasticised PVC — Pressure & Drainage

  • High rigidity — maintains shape under load and pressure
  • 4 junction systems: rubber gasket, solvent cement, screw muff, double socket
  • Pipe types: smooth plain, filleted end, cement socket, wall-thickened socket
  • Smooth inner bore for optimal hydraulic flow
  • Excellent chemical and abrasion resistance
  • Lightweight — reduces handling and installation costs
  • Grey / white finish; blue available for water applications
  • Conforms to ISO 1452, EN 1452, BS 3505
